A morning spent in a pumpkin patch

The nights are getting darker, the weather colder, the skies stormier. Its getting to that time of year again here in England. Trick or treat with a mix of gunpowder, treason and plot. One a pagan ritual the other an historic celebration. Witches and terrorists are strangely remembered on Halloween & Bonfire Night ( 5th Nov ). Rather ironic at this moment in time when the world is gripped by terror and looking to alchemy for an escape.

Children have taken the brunt of this Governments failed coronavirus decisions in 2020. Their education and social oportunities were criminally denied them for 6 months, with consequences that may only become apparent decades from now. So it was really nice to see so many young families picking their own pumpkins in my local farmers field. Despite this virus and the restrictions placed on us as a region, people are determined to carry on as normally as possible. And its great to see local farmers beating the giant supermarkets for once.
