This is a model lifeboat made by a mate of mine during the long winter lockdown. It is a highly accurate representation of a Shannon class lifeboat operating off the UK coastline. All the detail he has built himself from blueprints and it was lovely to spent a few hours with him this morning at the local boating lake putting her through her paces.

I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years. My work has taken me all over the world, now in retirement, i am shooting for myself and sharing my work with you all. I suffer from health anxiety and find that my photography is a great source of healing. Some of my posts may veer off the path slightly but basically this is my life journey using photography to tell the story. Thank you for reading and if you would like to follow me you would be most welcome. View all posts by ian simpson photographer
