What a winter we have had. Storm after storm after storm. Especially Storm Pia on December 21st 2023. Not only were trees uprooted but this boat was forced over 100 yards onto an embankment and this pine tree took out my shed.
Roll on summer………….

Never underestimate the forces of nature….āThe sad thing is that we will all have to accept it as a result of the climate change we caused ourselves.

The shed can be rebuilt, you can’t! I think a lot of your storms come from over here, Ian. Once they hit the open Atlantic, they can gain strength.

We do get the back end of a lot of your storms but these past few years have seen them increase dramatically in number and strength. And you’re right about the shed. We were lucky.

That’s what I thought, Ian. At least the UK isn’t being pounded year after year with hurricanes and tornadoes. The mix of warm air and moisture from the Gulf of Mexico meets with the much colder air dropping down from Canada and our northern tier states and generates too many tornadoes. There are no tornadoes or hurricanes in Las Vegas, it’s way too dry.
