What a winter we have had. Storm after storm after storm. Especially Storm Pia on December 21st 2023. Not only were trees uprooted but this boat was forced over 100 yards onto an embankment and this pine tree took out my shed. Roll on summer.............

I saw Father Christmas in Liverpool a few days ago getting on the Mersey Ferry boat. I always wondered how he got about without reindeers.
We've not had the hottest of summers in the UK this year, apart from the past week. But we have had a few dramatic skies.
Lots of seafearing action on the River Mersey coming into Liverpool last week, as with most nights.
How happy these endless days of mist and rain and cold. The grey of summer occassionally gives way to the sun but too soon the clouds return.
